Support & Privacy
Gravity Forge is a physics puzzler with no ads, no in-app purchases and no wagering. This page explains how to get help, and exactly what the game does with your data.

Replies within 2 business daysEvery mode plays offline, so a connection problem is never the reason you can't play. Most other questions are answered below.
Contacting us
Include your iPhone model, your iOS version, the mode you were playing, and what you expected to happen. That is usually enough for us to reproduce the problem on the first try.
How does a round work?
Every round opens with a freshly generated 5×5 board of symbols. You get a limited number of Gravity Charges; each one pulls, pushes or gathers symbols in a direction you pick, at a strength you pick. Once the board settles, the game looks for patterns — lines, clusters, blocks, crosses — clears what it finds and lets the chain cascade. The same board with the same moves always produces the same result, so a long chain is something you plan rather than something you get lucky with.
Do I need an account, or an internet connection?
Neither. There is no sign-up, no email address and no password. All eight modes play fully offline. Scores are written to your device first and sent to the leaderboard when a connection is available; while you're offline they wait in a queue and go out later.
Does the game cost anything?
No. There are no ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no virtual currency, no wagering, and no way to win or lose real money. Every mode is unlocked the moment you install the game.
My score never appeared on the leaderboard.
- You were offline. Pending scores are kept (up to 50) and retried automatically. Opening the leaderboard nudges the queue.
- That mode has no score board. PUZZLES and FORGE SEQUENCE track star ratings instead of rankings, by design.
- The submission was rejected. The server checks the mode, the rules version and how often you submit, and turns away scores that don't add up.
I reinstalled the game and my leaderboard name is gone.
Your player identity is created on your device and kept there. Reinstalling makes a new one, so scores you already posted stay on the board under your previous name, but the game no longer recognises them as yours. There is no sign-in that can restore it — that is the trade-off for never asking you for an email address.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings → DATA → RESET PROGRESS. This clears local progress: scores, best chain, star ratings, unlocked achievements, and settings return to their defaults. Scores you already sent to a leaderboard are not removed by this.
How do I delete my data from the server?
Email support@elevatorgame.cc with your leaderboard nickname — the one shown beside YOU on the leaderboard. We delete the player record and everything attached to it: scores, archived replays, achievements and submission history.
Is there anything for colour-blind players or motion sensitivity?
Settings → ACCESSIBILITY has Reduce flashing, which turns off chain banners and hard flashes; Reduce motion, which softens shakes and symbol travel and follows the iOS system setting; and Colour assist, which adds a shape tag to every symbol so symbols stay tellable apart without relying on colour.
Something is broken, or I have an idea.

Privacy Policy
Effective 12 October 2026Applies to the Gravity Forge app for iPhone, version 1.0 and later, and to the leaderboard service the app talks to.
The short version
- We never ask for your name, email address, phone number or an account.
- We store an anonymous player ID, a randomly generated nickname, and your gameplay records, so that leaderboards work.
- There are no ads, no advertising identifier, and no tracking across other apps or websites.
- The app contains no third-party analytics or crash-reporting SDKs.
- You can have everything stored on the server deleted by emailing us.
Scope
This policy covers the Gravity Forge app and the leaderboard service it connects to. It does not cover iOS or the App Store, which are governed by Apple's own privacy policy, and it does not cover anything that happens on your device outside the game.
What we store
The game sends data to the server only when you post a score, unlock an achievement or submit a Daily Challenge run.
| Data | What it is | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Player ID | A random string the server issues the first time your device connects. Not derived from your name, email address or Apple Account. | So the leaderboard can tell your scores apart from everyone else's. |
| Nickname | A randomly generated name such as Molten Fox. | So other players see a name on the board instead of an ID. |
| Gameplay records | Mode, score, longest chain, efficiency score, rules version, the board you played and the sequence of moves you made. | To place you on the leaderboard and to check that submitted scores are genuine. |
| Achievements | Which achievements you unlocked, and when. | To keep them intact across future versions of the game. |
| Daily Challenge entries | Your score and moves for a given day's shared board. | To rank that day's challenge. |
| Submission times | When a score was submitted. | To rate-limit submissions and block automated flooding. |
What we never collect
- Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
- Contacts, calendars, photos, files or anything else on your device
- Precise or approximate location
- Health, fitness or financial information
- Your advertising identifier (IDFA), or any identifier shared between apps
- Microphone, camera, or clipboard contents
- Anything at all from other apps on your device
The app requests no iOS permission beyond what is needed to play, and shows no tracking prompt because it does no tracking.
Your anonymous identity
Gravity Forge has no registration. When your device first reaches the server, the server issues a random player ID and a random nickname. An access token is held in memory only and expires quickly; the refresh token that renews it is kept in the iOS Keychain on your device, and the server stores only a hash of it, never the token itself.
Data kept on your device
Your save file holds progress, star ratings, achievements and your best chain. App preferences hold your sound, haptic, accessibility and colour-assist settings, plus your player ID and nickname. None of this leaves your device except as described above. Deleting the app removes all of it.
Where your data goes
The leaderboard service runs on Cloudflare Workers with a Cloudflare D1 database. Cloudflare processes data on our behalf as our hosting provider and does not use it for its own purposes. All traffic between the app and the service uses HTTPS.
Cloudflare operates globally, so your data may be processed in a country other than your own, including the United States. We do not store IP addresses in our own database.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries are kept for as long as the service runs, because a leaderboard is a historical record and removing old entries would change everyone else's ranking. Archived replays are kept alongside the score they belong to.
When you ask us to delete your data, we remove the player record and everything attached to it within 30 days.
Your choices
- Reset local progress. Settings → DATA → RESET PROGRESS.
- Delete everything on the server. Email support@elevatorgame.cc with your leaderboard nickname.
- Send nothing at all. Play offline and no score leaves your device.
There is no account to close, because there was never an account to open.
Children
Gravity Forge is not directed at children under 13. Because the game collects no names, email addresses or contact details from anyone, it collects no personal information from children either. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it.
No advertising, no tracking
The app contains no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK and no crash-reporting SDK. It makes no network requests except to the leaderboard service described in this policy. We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.
Security
Connections use HTTPS. Refresh tokens are stored as hashes on the server and in the iOS Keychain on your device, and are never written to logs. Database queries are parameterised, and request size, shape and frequency are limited.
No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise absolute security. What we can say is that the data involved is a nickname and a set of scores, not anything that identifies you.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes. Continuing to use the game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
